1870 Half Dime, PR68 Cameo
The Sole-Finest Certified Cameo
1870 H10C PR68 Cameo NGC. The finest proof 1870 half dimes
certified at NGC include three non-Cameo PR68 coins and this Cameo
example in the same grade (9/25). The best proofs at PCGS are three
PR67 Cameos and one PR68 non-Cameo, making this coin the
finest-certified example with the Cameo designation and arguably
the finest 1870 proof half dime known. Sharp, frost-white devices
contrast against mirrored fields, which show no mentionable toning.
Even under a loupe, the preservation for this brilliant half dime
