Description

Charles III gold 2 Escudos 1761 Mo-MM AU Details (Plugged, Repaired) NGC, Mexico City mint, KM128, Cal-1581. A truly scarce showing with only a small handful of this short-lived first bust series confirmed by NGC with a total of four seen, all accompanied by some condition qualifier. The current specimen exhibits even goldenrod surfaces laden with an abundance of remaining detail, the noted plug and repair lightly obscured and well-placed just above Charles III's portrait and simply does not detract from the overall aesthetics of this wonderful issue.
