1877-S 50C Open Bud, Micro S, WB-101, Die Pair 7, MS66 PCGS.
Two tiny parallel die lines in the shield above (LI)BE(RTY) and a
lump above the C in AMERICA confirm this Open Bud, Micro S die
marriage. Frosty mint luster shines through layers of blue, violet,
and peach-orange color. This strongly defined Premium Gem half
dollar is a terrific, top-quality survivor from a mintage of 5.3
million coins. Population (all varieties): 30 in 66 (2 in 66+), 1
