Description
Bern. City gold Duplone 1793 AU55 NGC, KM143, Fr-182, HMZ-2-213a. Harvest golden color with peach toning in the recesses. The coin appears to have been struck over a previous issue, possibly a French Louis XV Louis D'Or, as the letters "VINC" can be seen starting left of the crown on obverse and "ET" visible on the reverse about eight o'clock outside of wreath, ghosting of other letters somewhat visible.Ex.
