1880 G$1 MS68 NGC....
Description
1880 Gold Dollar, MS68
Absolutely Beautiful
1880 G$1 MS68 NGC. The Philadelphia Mint struck only 1,600
gold dollars in 1880, although most of these never went into
circulation, and many were saved. Today, the date is readily
collectible, although coins as fine as MS68 are scarce, and
higher-grade pieces are prohibitively so. This pristine example
displays sharp definition and virtually flawless orange-gold mint
luster, with luminous eye appeal. Census: 36 in 68 (4 in 68★
), 1 finer (8/25).(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25DJ, PCGS# 7581, Greysheet# 8043)
Weight: 1.67 grams
Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
