Bust of Maria Feodorovna (wife of Alexander III) facing right // Minerva standing, holding wreath and lamp, owl of wisdom at her feet, legend translates to "For Good Behavior and Progress in Sciences".

Maria Feodorovna, Empress of Russia and wife of Tsar Alexander III was known for her deep involvement in philanthropic and educational causes.
