Description

1873-CC 50C Arrows, Large CC, WB-Unlisted, Die Pair 7, R.4, AU50 ANACS. Three Large CC varieties exist for the 1873 Arrows halves, joining three other Arrows varieties with the Small CC mintmark. All of the Large CC varieties share the same reverse, with subtle differences in date position, repunching, and misplaced digits to identify the correct obverse. This example shows the date far right with minor repunching on the base of the 1. Pale iridescence visits the sharply struck silver surfaces on both sides where lilac and gold hues are the prominent colors. A few scattered, minor marks and slight rub determine the AU50 grade. Housed in an early generation ANACS holder.
