Description

1942 Half Dollar, Toned MS67+
Registry-Grade Example

1942 50C MS67+ PCGS. CAC. A member of the so-called Short Set of Walking Liberty half dollars, the 1942 is usually plentiful in grades through MS67. However, Plus-graded coins in this grade with CAC endorsement, as represented here, are scarce, and PCGS has seen only seven finer specimens (2/20). This coin is also deeply toned in lovely gold, rose, lilac, and greenish hues. Strike sharpness is superb, and the preservation is nearly flawless.(Registry values: N991)
