1896-O 50C AU55 PCGS. Despite a mintage of nearly 1 million coins, the 1896-O Barber half dollar is scarce in Mint State. This budget-friendly Choice AU example displays blotted lavender-gray and olive-green toning over each side. In typical 1890s-era New Orleans issue fashion, considerable strike weakness is seen on the central eagle and lower obverse stars.
