Attractive Borderline Gem
1896-O 10C MS64+ PCGS. CAC. As the only Choice Uncirculated
example at PCGS with the Plus designation and CAC-endorsed as well,
this lightly toned and frosted example sits on the cusp of a full
Gem grade. Silver luster shines beneath attractive almond-gold
color that becomes richer at the borders. One or two tiny marks and
some minor die clashing are the only interruptions on the sharply
struck and nearly pristine surfaces of this challenging New Orleans
issue. Population: 19 in 64 (1 in 64+), 16 finer. CAC: 5 in 64, 11
