Description

1913 Indian Eagle, CAC'd MS65
Visually Captivating

1913 $10 MS65 PCGS. CAC. This is a stunning coin, and not just within the expectations of the grade. The typical 1913 Indian ten in Mint State grades only in the MS62 to MS64 range. Coins are scarce in MS65, and rare in this grade with CAC endorsement. A few dozen finer pieces are reported, of which just two are CAC endorsed. Advanced collectors may gravitate toward patiently waiting for an MS66 piece, but holding this coin in-hand, one wonders how many MS66 pieces would significantly surpass it. This piece is among the finest MS65s we have seen, and it has eye appeal nearly akin to higher-grade coins. Sharp devices complement radiant peach-gold luster that rolls freely throughout remarkably clean fields. There is one faint amber toning spot in the left obverse field and a tiny tick on Liberty's cheek, but other flaws are not even worthy of mention. PCGS Population: 108 in 65 (13 in 65+), 25 finer. CAC: 27 in 65, 2 finer (10/25).
