Description
1798 $1 Large Eagle, Pointed 9, 10 Arrows, B-21, BB-107, R.5, Fine 12 PCGS. Bowers Die State II. Star 13 is much further from the bust than star 7 is from the L. This is a splendid, problem-free example of the scarce BB-107 variety. Both sides exhibit light battleship-gray patina, and although the motifs are well-circulated, considerable detail remains. Four tiny rim nicks occur above ST. A rim flaw near obverse star 13 is as made.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24X6, Variety PCGS# 40024, Base PCGS# 40018, Greysheet# 199098)
