1829 10C Large 10C, JR-2, R.2, MS66 PCGS. A defective right foot on the 1 in 10 C is a pick-up point for the JR-2 variety. A later die state with many delicate cracks, with the most prominent crossing the portrait between stars 3 and 8. This intricately struck and magnificently preserved Premium Gem displays rich dove-gray, lavender, and aquamarine toning. Areas of brilliance remain on the reverse border between 9 and 11 o'clock. An ideal acquisition for the early silver type collector, as well as the devoted series specialist who collects by date, die marriage, or Guide Book variety. Population for all 1829 dime varieties: 14 in 66 (2 in 66+), 5 finer (3/20).
