quarter dollar output to 10,000 circulation strikes and 710 proofs
in 1887, as none were needed for circulation. Proofs often stand in
for their business-strike counterparts, which are can be difficult
to obtain in high grades. This splendid Premium Gem proof shows
eye-catching Cameo contrast uninhibited by the iridescent toning
that shrouds each side. Colors include orange, rose, and blue.
