Description

1810 Half Dollar, MS64
O-104a, Among Finest Known

1810 50C O-104a, R.3, MS64 PCGS. CAC. Ex: O'Neal. The later Overton die state that shows a delicate crack through the tops of portions of UNITED STATES. The Stephen J. Herrman Spring 2022 revision lists only two examples of this die marriage in MS64 or finer grades, the MS64+ PCGS CAC O-104 coin from our April 2019 Central States Signature, and an MS64 NGC CAC piece from our August 2016 ANA Signature. Thus there is no doubt that the present lot is among the finest survivors of the variety. Rich tobacco-brown borders cede to lightly toned cream-gray and tan interiors. Well struck and exemplary. Struck slightly off center toward 10 o'clock.
