Description

1849-O 25C Fine 12 PCGS. Briggs 1-A. Larry Briggs estimates the mintage of the 1849-O Seated Liberty quarter at a meager 16,000 pieces. This Fine 12 example shows all letters in LIBERTY still legible, but L is weak. The lavender-gray surfaces exhibit a few minor planchet voids on both sides, but a scratch near star 4 is the only abrasion worth mentioning. Population: 10 in 12, 47 finer (10/19).
