MS64 Red and Brown, Newman 4-O
1773 1/2P Virginia Halfpenny, No Period MS64 Red and Brown PCGS.
Newman 4-O. Ex: Eliasberg. Remaining mint red is especially
abundant within the reverse shield. The obverse field and portrait
are olive-brown, while the left reverse is ruby-red and steel-blue.
Struck from clashed dies. The other Eliasberg Virginia
halfpenny, his Period variety, sold as lot 36 in our 2008 FUN
Signature. Listed on page 43 of the 2011 Guide Book.
