Description

1829 JR-2 Dime, Toned MS66
Large 10C, Exceptional Preservation

1829 10C Large 10C, JR-2, R.2, MS66 NGC. JR-2 is a plentiful variety but in this condition the 1829 dime as a whole is rare. Luminous original mint luster gives this Premium Gem type coin exceptional eye appeal along with original shades of lavender, blue, and orange-gold toning. The stars are intricately defined, but some strike weakness occurs toward the centers on the fletchings and the top point of the eagle's left (facing) wing. Not a single significant abrasion is observed. Census (all varieties included): 9 in 66 (1 in 66+), 1 finer (7/17).
