First Year of Denomination
1796 10C JR-6, R.3 -- Repaired -- PCGS Genuine. XF Details.
The reverse field is smoothed near the eagle, and the eagle's
plumage is re-engraved. Otherwise, a well defined silver-gray
example from the first year of the dime denomination. A relatively
late die state with several prominent obverse die cracks. The
central obverse retains traces of adjustment marks, as made.
