Description

Delightful 1918-S Quarter
MS66 Full Head

1918-S 25C MS66 Full Head NGC. The head details on this delightful Premium Gem specimen are nothing short of phenomenal. The earhole is bold, there is complete separation of hair from forehead all the way down the length of the hairline, and the cheek, nose, mouth, eye, and rear hair details are all crisply articulated. All but three of the shield rivets are bold. The highly lustrous surfaces display just a tinge of gold, and are near-flawless. Strong die polish lines are visible in the fields, especially those of the reverse. A light vertical scratch on the obverse holder above Liberty's portrait does not detract at all from the coin. Census: 2 in 66 Full Head, 2 finer (10/08).
