Description

1811 Half Dollar, Attractive AU58
O-106, Lightly Toned Small 8 Variety

1811 50C Small 8, O-106, R.3, AU58 NGC. CAC. Smooth, olive-gray patina retains soft mint luster despite brief circulation. A faint glow of rose toning flashes from the well-struck centers of this Small 8 half. The obverse stars are typically drawn to the obverse rims, which displays the weak milling characteristic of the O-106 die pair. Multiple parallel lines run horizontally from the eagle's neck to the left wing and shoulder, and a diagnostic angled line at the top right shield corner pierces the wing. CAC endorsed for eye appeal and surface quality.
