Description

1882-S $1 MS67+ PCGS. CAC. Although often seen in attractive, Superb Gem grade, the 1882-S is surprisingly scarce with prooflike surfaces. This Plus-graded and CAC-endorsed example ranks at the high end of its grade, and nearly qualifies for a prooflike designation, with just a few fleeting areas of mint frost near the portrait that preclude that honor as well. Viewed at an angle, the sharply struck motifs contrast boldly with the reflective fields. This is an essentially untoned and unmarked example with terrific eye appeal.(Registry values: P1, N991)
