1851 10C MS64 NGC. Cherry-red and navy-blue toning dominates the obverse but is confined to the border on the reverse. Lustrous and crisply struck. Many 1851 dimes were undoubtedly melted by speculators since the bullion value exceeded face from the day of coinage. Census: 13 in 64, 2 finer (8/12).
