Bold XF Small Planchet Noe-29
1652 Pine Tree Shilling
1652 SHILNG Pine Tree Shilling, Small Planchet XF40 PCGS. Crosby
14-R, Noe-29, W-930, R.3. 69.4gn. Predominantly golden-gray in
sheen, but there are blushes of tan iridescence here and there. The
otherwise appreciably bold detail wanes a little at the lower
borders. In addition, we note that the obverse is better centered
than the reverse with the tops of a few peripheral letters at the
upper border of the latter side off the flan. Smooth save for a
single small roundish mark left of the third left branch. Listed on
page 37 of the 2011 Guide Book.Ex: Baltimore Signature (Heritage, 7/2003), lot 5005.
