Description
1924-S Double Eagle, MS62
Challenging S-Mint Issue
1924-S $20 MS62 PCGS. In stark contrast to its Philadelphia
counterpart, which is available in staggering numbers, the 1924-S
double eagle is conditionally scarce in all Mint State grades. This
example shows blended rose and green-gold hues over frosty luster.
The gown lines on Liberty's torso are not fully defined, though the
strike is otherwise sharp. Each side displays light, scattered
surface chatter, rather than obtrusive abrasions.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26G9, PCGS# 9179, Greysheet# 10179)
