Description

1875-CC Liberty Twenty, XF45
Branch Mint Type Coin

1875-CC $20 XF45 NGC. Winter 4-A. Mintmark placement, a die line within the R of LIBERTY and another over the E in AMERICA identify the 4-A dies. This apricot-gold double eagle retains attractive amounts of luster in the protected areas, revealing frosted hues of orange and lilac. Moderate wear lightly levels most high points, and also serves to smooth surface abrasions and temper rough edges for a pleasing presentation. This Carson City issue produced 111,151 pieces and Mint State examples are plentiful through MS62, with finer pieces quickly becoming scarce. Eye appeal is strong for an XF45 example.(Registry values: N1793)
