Delightful, original toning and a bold strike make this overdate
early dollar an excellent candidate for type or date collectors.
Mint luster remains in Liberty's hair strands and around the field
stars. This is the 15-star reverse, where 13 of the stars are fully
visible but two are hidden by oversized clouds. Rich, old-silver
toning is thick on the surfaces, framed by colorful gold and
olive-green accents. The strike is well-centered within wide,
denticled rims, and the overdate is clearly visible without a
