Description

1893 Morgan Dollar, Untoned PR64 Cameo

1893 $1 PR64 Cameo NGC. CAC. Widely spaced dies on the 1893 -- both circulation strikes and proofs -- result in lack of definition over Liberty's ear, yet this untoned Choice proof is otherwise well-struck. Pleasing mint frost covers Liberty's undisturbed cheek and the other raised motifs, combining with glassy-mirrored fields to earn the Cameo designation. Some scattered, delicate lines define the near-Gem grade, although eye appeal exceeds expectations as confirmed by the CAC endorsement. Census: 8 in 64 Cameo, 28 finer. CAC: 4 in 64, 10 finer (5/16).
