Description

1903 Liberty Twenty, MS65+
Luminous High-End Piece

1903 $20 MS65+ NGC. Early twentieth century Philadelphia double eagles have a reputation for high quality and accessibility, and this outstanding Gem meets that standard with flying colors. Sharply struck and well-preserved, olive-gold surfaces complement lustrous orange and violet hues in the protected areas, yielding radiant cartwheel luster. Minimal abrasions with just a couple of small ticks on Liberty's cheek are detected under a loupe, none of which are bothersome. Accessible through MS65, this attractive Plus-Graded Type Three double eagle has only 21 finer examples at NGC (6/25).(Registry values: N2998)
