Description

1951 Franklin Half, PR67+ Cameo
Unknown in a Finer Certified Grade

1951 50C PR67+ Cameo PCGS. CAC. Both the 1950 and 1951 Franklin halves are notably scarce in brilliant proof Cameo format. 57,500 proof sets were issued in 1951, but few offered contrasted motifs and fewer still survived the flimsy packaging in Superb Gem condition. This high-end MS67 example is blaze-white and deeply mirrored. The frosted motifs are particularly white on the reverse. An immaculate Cameo, the 1951 is notably rare in this condition with none certified finer by either service. Population: 15 in 67+ Cameo, 0 finer (8/15).(Registry values: N4719)
