Description

1905 Quarter Eagle, PR67 Cameo
None Finer at PCGS

1905 $2 1/2 PR67 Cameo PCGS. CAC. The Mint favored an all-brilliant finish on proof coins after 1902. Only a small percentage of the 144 proof Liberty quarter eagles struck in 1905 have enough mint frost to produce noticeable cameo contrast, but this magnificent Superb Gem exhibits startling black-on-gold flash when tilted in the light. Razor-sharp definition is present on all the design elements and the deeply mirrored fields show no mentionable defects, even on close inspection. Tremendous eye appeal complements the high technical grade. Population: 3 in 67 (1 in 67+) Cameo, 0 finer. CAC: 1 in 67, 0 finer (5/16).(Registry values: P1)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 288V, PCGS# 87931, Greysheet# 8595)
