Description
1961 Half Dollar, PR68+ Deep Cameo
Nearly Impossible to Upgrade
1961 50C PR68+ Deep Cameo PCGS. CAC. Ex: Blue Ocean. With a
mintage in excess of 3 million coins, it should come as little
surprise that the 1961 proof Franklin half dollar is an available
issue through nearly every grade level. That said, this is one of
only two PR68+ Deep Cameo representatives at PCGS, and a single
half dollar is graded finer (6/17). Flow lines in the obverse field
do not inhibit the stark contrast. Post-Mint contact is unseen. The
aesthetic appeal is outstanding from all angles as the coin is
rotated beneath a light, allowing the fields to fully glimmer their
reflection.From The Blue Ocean Collection(Registry values: N991)
