Description

1913 Saint-Gaudens Twenty, MS64
Finer Examples Are Rare

1913 $20 MS64 PCGS. With a mintage of just 168,780 pieces, the issue is scarce in all grades and pieces above MS64 are rarely encountered. This Choice olive-gold double eagle features hues of vibrant orange and lilac that arise on the central devices through frosty cartwheel luster. Sharply struck with detailed devices, only light abrasions consistent with the grade are present, mostly on the reverse. Eye appeal is outstanding, and PCGS reports only 19 numerically finer pieces (5/25).(Registry values: N2998)
