Description

Lustrous 1888 Three Dollar Gold, MS61

1888 $3 MS61 PCGS. The 1888 three dollar gold is a wonderful issue in the series. Despite (or because of) its low mintage of 5,000 coins, most examples were saved, and today only the high-mintage 1854, 1874, and 1878 issues are more common. This piece offers lustrous orange-gold surfaces that, despite the presence of some light obverse hairlines, appears conservatively graded.(Registry values: N1793)
