Description
1924 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle, MS67
Just One Finer Example at PCGS
1924 $20 MS67 PCGS. The surfaces of this Superb Gem twenty
are nearly entirely free of marks or abrasions, while the smooth,
satiny fields display glowing reddish-orange highlights surrounding
the central motifs. Cartwheel mint luster flows across the sharply
struck yellow-gold surfaces. Abundantly available in lesser grades,
the 1924 double eagle is an unexpected condition rarity in the
series at the MS67 level, with fewer than 100 coins so-graded and
just one piece numerically finer. Population: 96 in 67 (2 in 67+),
1 finer (5/16).(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26G7, PCGS# 9177, Greysheet# 10147)
