Description
Undated 5C Type Two Buffalo Nickel--Off Center, Scratched--ANACS. Fine 12 Details. Struck 15% off center toward 7 o'clock, the date is absent and the mintmark area is indistinct. Despite its uncommon off center appearance, this example circulated for some period, presumably as a pocket piece. Eventually, a series of moderate pinscratches were made by a non-numismatist to confirm authenticity.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22PZ, PCGS# 3921, Greysheet# 3078)
