Description

1879-CC Morgan, MS64+
Largely Untoned CAC Example

1879-CC $1 MS64+ PCGS. CAC. Normal Mintmark. The high-end preservation of this key-date Morgan dollar rules out any singularly mentionable distractions on surfaces that are largely untoned (save for minor hints of rose color) and highly appealing. Note in particular how clean and virtually mark-free is Liberty's cheek and neck area. Generous mint luster radiates forth from each side to great effect. This coin on the cusp of a Gem grade and with the CAC green approval sticker should see spirited bidding at auction on both technical and intrinsic grounds. The last three examples we have offered in this exact grade and service with CAC approval, dating between February 2014 and February 2015, all went for between $14,100 and $15,863.
