Description

1802/1 Bust Dollar, XF45 CAC
B-9, BB-235, Superb Quality
Rarest Overdate of Year

1802/1 $1 Wide Date, B-9, BB-235, R.5, XF45 PCGS. CAC. Bowers Die State I, without obverse die cracks, the usual state seen. The 1802/1 Wide Date B-9, BB-235 is the rarest of four overdates for the year, and was discovered in 1950 by M. H. Bolender. Ash gray with golden overtones and dashes of blue gives attractive eye appeal. Well struck, with only minor and unobtrusive circulation marks. Underlying luster glows in sheltered areas. Superb quality by every measure. The B-9, BB-235 variety is extremely rare at this grade level and above, and unknown in Mint State. Justifiably endorsed by CAC.
