The Finest Certified at PCGS
1884 $1 PR67 Deep Cameo PCGS. The 875 proof Morgan dollars
produced in 1884 were struck from a single pair of dies. While
proof Morgans produced this year with the Cameo designation are
reasonably available (PCGS has certified nearly 60 specimens in
this format), Deep Cameo examples are extremely rare. PCGS has
certified only three Deep Cameo specimens, and the present Superb
Gem offering is the finer of the three.Outstanding contrast between the frosty devices and the deeply mirrored fields is apparent on both sides, and the design features exhibit needle-sharp definition. Impeccably preserved surfaces further enhance the coin's magnificent eye appeal.(Registry values: N4719)
