1856-S G$1 Type Two -- Damaged -- NGC Details. AU. The final Type Two issue, presumably due to the delay in shipment of new obverse dies from Philadelphia to San Francisco. Well defined, but the yellow-gold surfaces are slightly glossy, and a reed mark and minor bend are noted beneath the upper right wreath end.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25C8, PCGS# 7536, Greysheet# 8075)
