Description
Very Fine 'Bearded' Liberty
1807 Half Dollar, O-111b
1807 50C Bearded Liberty VF20 NGC. O-111b, R.5. Undoubtedly
the most famous die state within the Bust half series. A die crack
between Liberty's chin and chest epitomizes the "Bearded Goddess"
variety. Though less advanced than sometimes seen, the crack is
obvious to the unaided eye. This is a blended stone-gray and
chestnut-gold example with pleasing sharpness. One diagonal thin
line noted above the eagle's neck.
