Description

1956 25C Type B Reverse, FS-901, MS66+ PCGS. CAC. As an economy measure at the Philadelphia Mint, leftover proof dies at the end of proof production were used to strike coins for commerce. The reverse proof dies had minor design differences from their business counterparts, especially apparent on the upper arrowhead tips and the leaf above the A in DOLLAR. The present Type B Reverse example is lustrous and lightly toned with a virtually mark-free appearance. Population: 11 in 66 (1 in 66+), 1 finer (11/17).
