Rare Top-Tier CAC Example
1955-D 1C MS67+ Red PCGS. CAC. Ex: Whispering Pines. The
1955-D is plentiful in MS67 Red but unknown numerically finer. This
leaves Registry collectors seeking the handful of MS67 Reds that
are certified with a Plus designation, or which have CAC
endorsement. PCGS lists only nine examples of the former, and CAC
16 of the latter (11/24). The Whispering Pines piece claims both
attributes. The coin is sharply struck and frosty, with luminous
copper-orange color and outstanding preservation. Population: 9 in
