Description

1927-S Mercury Dime, MS65 Full Bands
Noted Strike Rarity in the Series

1927-S 10C MS65 Full Bands PCGS. The 1927-S is rare with Full Bands, making this Gem example in great demand as part of a high-grade set. The "Achilles heel" for the issue are the central bands on the fasces, but they are distinct and sharply defined on this coin. Gleaming silver luster dominates a few faint glimpses of golden-gray toning on the frosty surfaces. Interesting die clashing frames the obverse portrait. Population: 34 in 65 Full Bands, 23 finer (10/16).(Registry values: N2998)
