1873 5C Open 3 MS66 PCGS. CAC. An obvious Open 3 example, conditionally rare in this finest-achieved numeric grade. The obverse die is extensively cracked, and minor strike weakness occurs on the higher wreath leaves and the horizontal shield lines. The reverse stars are bold. Each side displays frosty silver-gray luster and unabraded surfaces. Population: 11 in 66 (3 in 66+), 0 finer (11/15).(Registry values: N2998)
