1917-S Walking Liberty Half, MS64
First San Francisco Reverse Mintmark Issue
1917-S 50C Reverse MS64 PCGS. CAC. The first S-mint half
dollar of the second Reverse Mintmark subtype, the 1917-S Reverse
coins were produced to the extent of more than 5.5 million coins.
They are nonetheless elusive at the Gem level. This near-Gem boasts
splendid luster over grayish-gold surfaces, with tinges of olive
and ice-blue. Abrasions are minimal on this high-end near-Gem. PCGS
has graded 61 numerically finer examples (6/16).From The Good Karma Collection.(Registry values: N1793)
