Description

1854-O $10 Large Date AU53 NGC. Variety 2. The base of the 1 is lightly repunched, and the O mintmark is mostly under the feather tip. The coin has a slightly sunken appearance, and high-point detail is typically incomplete. A die crack travels from the rim into the field between stars 10 to 11 on this late die example. Orange-gold surfaces are lightly abraded.
