Description

1823 50C O-104, R.3, MS61 NGC. The 2 sits low in the date, while the bottom horizontal shield line extends beyond the right-hand edge of the shield on O-104. This example is sharply struck from an uncracked state of the dies, with the profile slightly doubled at the chin. Silver luster glows beneath a patina of powder-gray toning with faint gold undertones. A few minuscule marks and lines determine the assigned grade.
