Description

1846-O $10 XF40 ANACS. Variety 3, FS-301. A majority of '46-O tens are Variety 3, but only a small portion of those pieces, including the present coin, show prominent repunching on the mintmark. Variety 3 was made from a defective logotype punch, and was called an 1846/5-O in the past. This is a slightly bright yellow-gold example with a small reverse rim ding at 2 o'clock.(Registry values: N991)
