1723 1/2P Rosa Americana Halfpenny, Uncrowned VF30 Old Plating Uncertified. Nelson-13, Breen-138, "Very rare." 4.54 grams. Gilt with a bright yellow metal then subsequently circulated, now with deep lilac patina on the highpoints. A curious raised die lump (as made) near the X in REX. Seen far less often than the Crowned Rose reverse, this is a Colonial type absent from many specialized collections.
